Stem Rose Crochet Pattern
£6.50

£8.00
The Handel rose is a two-tone English garden variety, cream at the centre and deepening to rose at the petal edges.
Intermediate. Three-dimensional flowers are more involved than flat ones — the shaping is explained in full rather than assumed.
DK · light worsted · 8 ply with a 1.5 mm hook. Gauge isn't critical but firm, even stitches are — a loose fabric won't hold the petal shape.
A 55-page PDF with charts for every element, written instructions in US terms, and step photographs through the shaping and assembly.
0.3mm (28 Gauge US) Wire · 1.5mm (15 Gauge US) Wire · Wire cutters · Scissors · Candle and Flame Source · Straighteners/Flat Iron (optional) · Glue Gun & Hot Glue or ‘Dry Clear’ craft glue (optional) · Floral Tape in Green
Instant download, plus a copy by email · 55-page PDF · English only
You don't need to be able to read crochet charts. The written instructions are detailed and photographed throughout — the charts are there if you prefer them.
This pattern is Natagor's own design. Please don't resell, share or redistribute the file, the photographs or the charts.
You're very welcome to sell flowers you make from it. A link back to the pattern or a mention of Natagor Finlayson as the designer is always welcome — never required.
The Handel rose is a two-tone English garden variety, cream at the centre and deepening to rose at the petal edges. This crochet Handel rose pattern works it in the round as a sculptural flower on a wired stem, with the petal curl shaped by hand after blocking.
It's a pattern for someone who wants the finished flower to look like the photograph rather than an approximation of it. At fifty-five pages it's the most detailed in the collection, and the shaping and assembly — where most three-dimensional flowers come apart — are covered step by step.
A single Handel rose sits well in a small vase on its own. Three or five together make a centrepiece, and the realistic petal folds hold up close enough for wedding arrangements or a gift that outlasts the real thing.
The PDF is available to download the moment payment clears, and a copy is sent to the email address you use at checkout. If you lose the file later, you can request it again with that same address.
This one calls for DK · light worsted · 8 ply with a 1.5 mm hook. The brand matters far less than working firmly and evenly.
Some patterns also need easily found craft materials such as floral wire, floral tape and a glue gun.
English only, in US standard terms. If you're comfortable with charts you can work most of the flower from those alone, with the photographs to help.
Because the patterns are downloadable files, refunds aren't given once a pattern has been downloaded.
Refunds are given for duplicate or mistaken purchases, and for any problem with the file that can't be resolved.
