This small stem rose has soft, muted colouring, and it's less formal than a hybrid tea and easier to place. Twenty-one pages, and the shortest route into the rose collection.

Advanced beginner, worked in DK on a 1.5mm hook. The petal layering is the same principle as the larger roses at a size that's quicker to finish.

Good in a posy, good as a buttonhole, and good for making a lot of when you need a lot. It's also the pattern to try first if the fifty-five page Handel rose feels like a leap.

How do I download the pattern?

The PDF is available to download the moment payment clears, and a copy is sent to the email address you use at checkout. If you lose the file later, you can request it again with that same address.

How do I find the right yarn?

This one calls for DK · light worsted · 8 ply with a 1.5 mm hook. The brand matters far less than working firmly and evenly.

Some patterns also need easily found craft materials such as floral wire, floral tape and a glue gun.

What language is the pattern written in?

English only, in US standard terms. If you're comfortable with charts you can work most of the flower from those alone, with the photographs to help.
