The moth orchid has broad flat petals along an arching spray, and it's the orchid most people have owned at some point. This crochet orchid pattern makes the whole plant.

Twenty-eight pages and intermediate. As with any orchid, the arch of the stem is what sells it, and the assembly instructions give that the space it needs.

Potted on a windowsill it's convincing at a glance. It's also the orchid to make if the Phalaenopsis at forty-four pages is more than you want to take on.

How do I download the pattern?

The PDF is available to download the moment payment clears, and a copy is sent to the email address you use at checkout. If you lose the file later, you can request it again with that same address.

How do I find the right yarn?

This one calls for DK · light worsted · 8 ply with a 1.5 mm hook. The brand matters far less than working firmly and evenly.

Some patterns also need easily found craft materials such as floral wire, floral tape and a glue gun.

What language is the pattern written in?

English only, in US standard terms. If you're comfortable with charts you can work most of the flower from those alone, with the photographs to help.
